A funny thing happened to me while me and Balth were waiting for our random dungeon to pop. I was doing the usual laps of Dal, I had already completed all my dailies for the day and needed to get my daily frost badges. I got a whisper from a stranger asking if I wanted to heal ICC 10 man. Oh boy did I, but to be honest I haven't been doing a lot of healing lately since I started gearing my Elemental side first. So I politely thanked them for the invite but told them I hadn't healed that instance yet and didn't want to be responsible for ruining thier run. No problem they say we're going in for the first time too and we expect wipes...lol. Oh Really!!...think I. Well alrighty then I accept and get invited into the raid. Now these guys are geared very nicely and I figure I'll last for one wipe and get the boot. Wrong, I did damn good if I do say so myself and I got compliments as well. Yeah!!

The run was not easy as we never killed the first boss, but we were learning what to do and where to stand and what worked best for everyone. This is a great group I've got myself into I'm think one of the tanks is tabbed out checking for strats to make sure we're not going to run into any surprises. We had a rogue with us and she deactivated the traps that are in there that bring out these big Mean skeletons(more on them later). We got up to Lord Marowgar and wiped about 3 times and the RL called it. Good call too we were all done for the night and had enough to absorb from what we had learned. Marowgar throws some nasty ice curtains up and some other stuff I was so busy watching health bars though I really don't know what all killed us.

(Did I mention you can repair armor in there between pulls or wipes as the case may be, and I finally found the Witch armor for Shammy's in there and I only need 3 more frost badges for the shoulders...woot.)

I thanked them for letting me play with them and immediately got a whisp from my original inviter asking 'same time tomorrow?' Hell Ya!! This group is rocking me now and also he says 'if you're ever thinking of changing guilds we're always looking for good healers'. Woot he/she said good healers and me in the same sentence. Yes I know I've been healing Balth and me for 80 levels but this is not the same thing. This is acceptance by your peers outside the family so to speak and it felt good, damn good.

So next day I'm on bright and early well when I get off work 4 server time I do my dailies and get my Random out of the way and wait for the invite...finally at 6 my new best friend...lol wisps me that they're getting ready and if i'm still interested...holy guacamole you bet I am. I get the invite and have to wait for a few more folks to get on but not long and off we go.
It doesn't go as smooth as last time we wipe pretty often and on stuff we really shouldn't have. This time no rogue with us and we trip the traps and out come two giant skeleton dudes...ouch bang dead. We finally managed to learn how to get one at a time and kill the bad boy but what a fight and off we go to the final mob in front of Marowgar again. We kill them but at this point we're all exhausted and some of the group is east coast so it's late for them. And you'll never guess...you did...yeah...yep I got asked to come again tomorrow...how cool is that.

I'm kind of curious how some of your first experiences in ICC have been and how do you avoid the ice curtains Marowgar throws up? Seriously those are nasty.

As 2009 winds down I look back at all we've accomplished this year. Both Balth and I rolled our current mains back in March. We've earned many Achievements and finally leveled to 80. I've been playing since '07 and only with Balth's help have I been able to get there. Below are some of our Achievements for the year.

We are very proud of these titles we worked hard to get them and I think it shows a definate dedication to the game. We both got all these Achievements at the same time or with in days of one another. Diplomat and Ambassador were both titles we really wanted.

And then we got bunches of mounts too :)Ya this big boy comes after you've collected 50 unique mounts.

And I got my turtle I was so excited I almost for got to click on it...

We started jousting and started the progression into earning our reputation with the Argent Tournament and earned the title of Crusader but I can't find the screenie of that one :D

We also participated in a multi server event to help raise money for Breast Cancer awareness when a guild member from a different realm was diagnosed her guild came up with a unique way to help. Many of you may know our Big Bear Butt friend already. The Sidhe Devils invited all from all servers around the world to participate in this event and they came. It was a memorable event and one i'm proud to have participated in.

We completed the Winter Veil and have now become Merrymakers as well.

All in All it's been a very good year and we've met many wonderful people in game and in the bloggisphere.

Avatar The Movie

I'm no movie critic but I know what I like and I liked this move...a lot!! The characters were fun and although some say the plot was weak I fell for the whole thing. There were places where I just sat smiling at the emotions being played out and you could get into the characters feelings. There were also times when I had tears coming down my cheeks from the pain and hurt that was portrayed and all these emotions from CG created images. Watch the trailer here . There were so many messages in this movie but don't take my word for it see it yourselves and if you have the opportunity see it in the 3D...awesome.

On a second note Balth rated this movie an 8...he has no taste this movie is definately a 10++ :P

Winter Veil Feast Days

We've been having an interesting time trying to complete the Winter Veil quests. Starting in Iron Forge with Father Winter you get new recipes to make gingerbread cookies (1), egg nog (35) and hot apple cider (325) all winter favorites. The goblin near Father Winter has the recipes for most and many of the ingredients you just have to supply your own eggs and milk. Create them all and instant Achievement pretty easy if you have your cooking at an appropriate level around 325 at the highest. I'm maxed and didn't need to worry about it. Other quests are rescuing reindeer and killing thieving Grinches all very fun. I had done many of these quests last year on my Horde toon so I had an idea of where to go and what to do. One of the fun things is getting a winter veil disguise and changing into a snowman and dancing with another snowman in Dalaran...again instant Achievement. When you blow a kiss to a winter reveler in one of the city's inn's you are rewarded with Holly, Mistletoe or Snowflakes. The Holly turns your riding mount and flying mount into reindeer, very fun and cute. The Mistletoe and Snowflakes are for more quests. So get out there kiss some revelers take a ride on a reindeer and enjoy the event it's one of my personal favorites.

Up To Snuff

Me and Balth have been extremely busy this past weekend and our gear and DPS are really starting to show the hard work. Our guild has been a great help including us newbs in their reindeer games so we can get the hang grouping with them. We went into VoA 10 man with them this weekend and downed the first two bosses with a little work and then Wintergrasp started and we had to leave.

We went in tonight with our guild to do Malygos 10 man but never did finish phase three. We're learning to work as a group and it's all good though. Unfortunately we spent more time dead than alive but it's work in progress...lol

Almost Making the Grade

Well with the drop of patch 3.3 I'm finally getting the opportunity to run Heroic dungeons and I've earned enough badges to get two pieces of Tier 9 gear. It's pretty exciting when you've been left out of most things because you're just not geared enough to do anything. The thing is though is that I'm still only geared enough for a few things but boy am i having fun :).I ran wow-heroes and I was so sure that I'd gone over 2000 now in my gear score right? Ugh Wrong...

Only 1725 and I've still got a few pieces that need enchanting but no sense doing that till I get the whole set...Now this is my DPS set I still need to get gear for my healing...It's a never ending adventure.

The New Dungeon System

Well folks I don't know about you but I'm really enjoying the new dungeon system in patch 3.3...no more sitting around Dal hoping to get picked up in LFG or seeing someone needing your talent for a instance you're interested in. The biggest problem with the old system was for those of us new 80's not having the gear yet to run all the instance. I now have an opportunity to go with similiarly geared folks into instances that I can actually succeed in, Yeah!!! Did I mention the Emblems...oh yes emblems of Frost now for your first pug dungeon of the day...I haven't seen the gear for the Frost Emblems yet but i'm sure it's epic :)

This is the new Dungeon interface and it's for my baby priest. As you can see it's offering a bag of random helpful goods as the prize for running a dungeon. On my 80 it offers gold and the emblems for gear.

I've been working the dailies at the Argent Tournament and trying to get my Champion status with all the Alliance factions.One of the daily quests is to get a sword and free a maiden...this is very Camelot I know but hey we are jousting right. So yesterday's daily is 'kiss a frog free a maiden' it is what it is. Up side, there be salmon in the lake the frogs inhabit and salmon equals gold and feasts. So I kiss my frogs and proceed to do a little fishing and look what pops out of the water...

and I get this too...

All in all it was a pretty good fishing trip warts and all :D

Ok so when I got my Netherwing Drake I was quite please with myself it took a lot of work and perserverance to keep doing those stupid dailies day in and day out. I was quite sure I had the best mount in the game...UNTIL...

Ok wipe the drool off your chin I have enough for all of us...lol. I haven't done the Net work yet but to find out where this bad boy drops but I will. It's obviously a 1 in cajillion drop or you'd see them everywhere. Who knows maybe you'll see me in Dal on one some day :)

Big Things on a Long Weekend

Well I did it I finally made it to 80 for the first time on Thanksgiving and Balth got there the next day. I've only been playing since 07...wtf. But with 20 odd toons spread over 5 servers I never played one past 60. Now that Balth is playing with me it's made the game so much more fun. We have goals we set together and just have a buddy to do everything with and he's a Pally...can you say OP...he he he. Yes he's pulled my butt out of the fire on more occations than I'd like to think about.

My wonderful guild took me to ToC right before I hit 80 to make sure I had some gear for the Big day

And then I decided it was time for me to start doing my dungeon dailies and grabbed on to the coattails of a very nice pug and did my healy thing

It hasn't been all successes though a guildy invited us into Heroic ToC and we didn't last the first round before we wiped. We still need gear badly so it will be lots of Nexus runs for us to get some decent gear. It really is embarrassing letting your group die over and over...:/

Balth Earns His Netherwings

Well not to be out done my Pally pal Balth got his Netherdrake wings last night...very cool.

With Thanksgiving coming up real fast (tomorrow) we don't have a lot of time to get some of the things we normally do taken care of...dailies and such. One of the things top on the list though is finishing the Pilgrams Bounty Holiday Achievements...I just need to kill 40 wild turkey's in some rediculously short amount of time and sneak into Undercity and Silvermoon to eat at their feast tables...that's going to be a trick I think.

So for anyone that may actually read this and I doubt they will I want to wish you and your families a very Happy and filling Thanksgiving

Flying The Friendly Sky's

Not a big post today but when are they :) after a couple of months of grinding rep I finally am exalted with the Netherwing and have my drake.

Imo the coolest mount in the game.

Ya I know I’ll discover the coolest mount in the game many more times but right now this is it for me. The grind for this rep is just as boring and never ending seeming as all rep grind is…but I managed to clinch it by doing the ‘The Ballad of Oldie McOld’ quest. I’d tried it a couple of times and could never survive it. This time I flew very high over ol mac and he wasn’t able to hit me with his rocks…I finally found out what looked like rocks was actually melons he’s throwing. Balthazario completed it first and well I couldn’t let the Pally best me now could I? So I gave it a go and on the second try success and my Nether wings…yeah!!!! Balth hasn’t had as much time to grind the rep as me but he’s coming up fast and should be there today or tomorrow and we’ll both have the coolest mounts in the game :)

And in further news we got this too with a little help from our friends in our new guild. Thanks Kladvia, Eegleye, and Khalso for taken a couple of nOObs along to your dance. :o)

So I go to the Argent Tournament and the dailies so far are easy and with all my dailies I’m making about 80g a day…woot. I was a little clueless but thanks to a guildy holding my hand through the initial where the?...what the?...part i figured out what i needed to do.

I pass my test to get to the first level Aspirant and it goes faily well. You're just practicing you moves on the practice dummy's and completing some quests to get 15 Aspirant Seals. Cool 3 days and I'm turning them in...yippy. So then I go to the next level in the tournament stuff Valiant…ok so I try to go to the next level…it took like 6 to 8 try’s to kill that stupid so-n-so....what's with the killing my pony business? Then the next step is to do it again in a different arena and you have to win 3x’s…are you out of your freaking minds o.O….so 20 times later I finally get 3 wins…my sanity is in question at this point and then the little beotch tells me I have to do this untill I get 25 Valiant Seals to get to the next level…ya I’ll 25 her a@@ alright….I'm truly not looking forward to this but i'm on a mission now...I will learn to do this, maybe not well but I will learn it and get me a pet for the pain and anguish this is going to cause...lol

So I hit 77 I now have cold weather flying and can toodle around Northrend on my flying pony /yippy. I had about 6 bars to go to reach 77 and I was hell bent to get there. So I did my cooking and fishing dailies in both Dalaran and Shat and then did my Netherdrake dailies...I'm going to get one of those cute ponies if it kills me....

So after completing all of those I had 3 bars to go....ugh what to do now. Battle Grounds...dun ta da dunnnn. So Alterac Valley it is and I'm sure I can get the 3 bars in 1 AV win. Uhh NO but we did win the first one and I was #3 in heals, there were two other Shammy's over me...we Shammy's rock the heals you know. So m'k the next one should do it right? Uhh NO we lose...meh...one more try and SHWOOOSH!!! 77 Hot Dog i'm there, we lost but who cares I can get Cold Weather Flying now..Huzzah!

The very first thing I did was fly over Wintergrasp I don't know why I guess cause I could...lol. I settle down and headed back to Dal and checked my mail box....Hey what's this an invitation to the Argent Tournament...well how ya like that they heard of me there...lol. Ya right. So I'm going to go check it out when I get home from work today and see what the fuss is all about...oh gosh I really don't know a thing about it. I mean me and Balth flew over there once a while ago but when you can't do anything anyway you don't keep it in the memory file for future use except how to get there. Is it hard, do I need a group the big question can I get gear...that's what I'm really hoping for or will it be a huge Fail Fest...we shall see.

The Etiquette of Looting What is Bad Form and What Acceptable?

I have been trying to run as many instances lately on my Shammy as possible to try and level quickly as well as have the opportunity to learn my Healing better. One of the things I've come to notice is how differently people look at the way looting should be done in groups.

PUG groups are vile but necessary evils one must endure at times to complete quest objectives when guild members are not available or inclined to participate. First I must say I had never been a huge dungeon player for the simple fact I play alone most of the time so this has been a new experience for me. don't get me wrong I have done them just not often.

This is my take and it's only my opinion but on low level instances where primarily greens drop it should be Greed greens amd if a choice piece drops it should go to what class it's geared toward. IE: Cloth = Mage, Priest etc. Now in the case that Blue's are dropping unless it is agree'd too in the beginning of the instance should go to class specific. I don't know how many times a Mail item was Needed on by a Mage who could never use it or Cloth was Needed by a Pally who wouldn't want to use it. Seriously people what's up with that. Does a Pally really need a Wand just cause it's a Blue when the Mage or Priest is sitting empty handed? I think not. Not only is it wrong it's just bad manners imo.
I was recently in a high level Dungeon with my guildies and we rolled on all the Boss drops very well done I must say and fair to all.
So there is my Rant for better or worse it is IMHO

Noob Question on Healbot

Hi folks, noob here and i'm working various Alts but am having a ball lvling my Priest Shadow spec'd lvl 22 so far :). My question for you all is 'Is Healbot or Grid worth the headache of trying to set up?' (which i might add if it is worth it HELP!!) :D
I've had help from another Priest but she hadn't used Healbot in so long she wasn't sure of the settings so i'm only half configured and it's not pretty. I play mostly solo but if invited to a group i'd like to be able to do my part.
Any insite into websites that might help me out would be greatly appreciated, oh i'm a visual kinda gal...yes i need pictures...lol

Yes I did another one...a Shaman this time named her Kattastrophe she's a goat girl lvl 6. I'll work on her little bits at a time when i get bored with my other toons. But i must say i already like her alot...she's not squishy at all and i think she's going to have some fun abilities as soon as i find out what they are i'll post more :)
